Share or transfer a single patient with a colleague

There are situations when you may want to share or transfer a patient (or some patients) with a colleague. At Physitrack, you do that in a few simple steps.

Please keep in mind that this option is only available between users under the same subscription (colleagues or members of the same PTDirect subscription)

This page explains how to share or transfer one (or a few) of your patients with a colleague. Want to share all patients (and added content)? Read how to do that here!

How to Transfer a patient

  1. At the top left, click on Patients and choose the patient you want to transfer.

  1. Click on the transfer button

  1. Then click on the colleague you wish to transfer the patient to.


  1. Then click Save Changes


  1. You will then see a small pop up in the bottom left corner indicating that the transfer has been done.



How to Share a patient

  1. At the top left, click on Patients and choose the patient you want to share.


  2. Click on the 3 dots button and select the option transfer/share patient


  3. In the "Action" section, select Share patient


  4. Enter the e-mail address of the colleague you want to share the patient with or transfer to.

Note: the colleague must have an active Physitrack subscription and this email address must be their login!

  1. Once you've selected a colleague and clicked continue you will receive the notification that it is being shared:

  • Transfer patient: transfers the patient to another provider and removes them from your own Physitrack account. Of course, the colleague can always transfer the patient back to you.
  • Share patient: the patient is shared with another healthcare provider and remains visible in your own Physitrack account. Of course you can end this sharing at any time.
