Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA)

To further secure your Physitrack account, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA).

Before continuing, please make sure you have a TOTP (time-based one time password) generator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy installed on your smartphone.

  1. Login to your Physitrack account
  2. Go go Settings (click on your name in the lower-right corner and then click "Settings")
  3. Click "Enable two-factor authentication"
  4. Open Google Authenticator or Authy and scan the QR-code.
  5. Fill in this code into Physitrack.
  6. Click "Enable two-factor authentication"

Done. When you log out from your account, you will need to login with two-factor authentication again.

What to do if you've lost access to your TOTP generator app

If you cannot login to Physitrack because you've lost access to your TOTP generator app (e.g. Google Authenticator), then please email support@physitrack.com and with a request to disable 2FA for your account.

Include:

  • email address of the account
  • last 4 digits of the credit card or bank account that are used to pay for the subscription
  • name of the person (or company) on the credit card or bank account
  • or, if you are on a free academic subscription, include your student id

Note: the request must be sent from the email address that holds the account.
