How is patient adherence calculated?

Within Physitrack, we would like to show you at a glance whether your patients are doing their exercises. This way, you always stay informed and, if necessary, you can adjust exercise programmes and/or give your patients (more) support.

Adherence bar in patient list

If you have enabled adherence tracking when assigning an exercise programme, you will see a bar to the right of your patient's name in the patient list. This bar turns green depending on the number of exercises your patient completes. This looks at the last 3 days, including the day you are watching (i.e. the day before yesterday, yesterday and today).

If you have assigned your patient an exercise programme with a total of 10 exercises per day, and your patient has completed 7 exercises during each of the last 3 days, you will see that the bar indicates a 70% adherence rate.

Adherence details

You can also click on a patient to see details of adherence. This average adherence is calculated based on the number of exercises completed throughout the week (for weeks in the past) and for all days including the day you are viewing (for the current week).

If you assigned your patient an exercise programme with a total of 10 exercises per day, and your patient completed 8 exercises daily throughout the past week, you will see an average compliance rate of 80%.

If you look at the details on the 5th day of the current week, the average is calculated based on those 5 days.
