Allow practitioners to add patients' NHS number

Your healthcare practitioners can add patients to their Physitrack account extremely easily. To best protect privacy, we ask for as little patient data as possible: first and last name plus year of birth are enough for Physitrack to work correctly.

However, there are situations when you want to use some more data from your patient, e.g. a unique identification number. Are you located in the UK and have a Physitrack account on our UK server? Then you can allow your practitioners to enter their patients' NHS number too.

Enable input field for NHS number

1
Log in to PT Direct.
2
Click on Custom inputs in the left-hand menu.
3
Check the box next to Allow practitioners to add NHS ID to the patient record and click the Save button.
  • From now on, your practitioners can enter the NHS number when adding a patient.
    How does that look?
  • They can also use the NHS number when looking for a particular patient.
    Oh really??
  • The NHS number will also feature in Physitrack (and PhysiData) exports in support of the Data Controllers wider data mapping and linking projects.
