PT Direct: Physitrack Engage: Getting Started
With Physitrack Engage enabled for your PT Direct account, users of your branded app will be able to complete intake questionnaires. Following a completed intake questionnaire, the user will be redirected to either select a relevant exercise program or book an appointment with your clinic.
Engage lets you use your branded app as a marketing tool to let prospective clients get in touch with your practice's brand without having to first book an appointment. AI is also a great way to onboard new clients, as the data that clients enter automatically gets added inside your PT Direct account, for quick sharing inside your clinical team once a client has formally been admitted to your clinic.
Prerequisites
- PT Direct account
Branded version of PhysiApp (linked to your PT Direct account).
If you don't a branded app yet, please email sales@physitrack.com.
High-level overview (client perspective)
- The client downloads your branded app from the App Store or Google Play (or uses the web version of your branded app)
- If Engage is enabled, the client will see a "Get care" button on the app's homepage.
- When clicking "Get care", the client will see a disclaimer.
Next, the client will see an anatomical selector where they can select the affected region.
Alternatively, the client can choose to directly find a therapist to book an appointment.
The client will see a series of questions for the selected region.
These questions are defined by you inside PT Direct when you edit the intake form.
If the client chooses an answer that you have flagged as an "escalation" question, the client will be shown an alert to either seek medical attention, or book an appointment with a practitioner.
This is defined by you inside PT Direct in the intake form editor.
If the questionnaire has not been "cut off" by escalation, the client will optionally see a registration form (if you've enabled this).
When the client completes a registration, a new client record is added inside PT Direct which is available to all practitioners that are included in the client sharing scope.
After registration, the client sees a selection of exercise programs that they can choose from.
The client clicks on Preview, and can then start the program.
The client now has a fully functional PhysiApp program, with a "Therapist" link that links to your practice directory.
High-level overview (admin/author perspective)
From an admin/author perspective, Physitrack Engage consists of three main components:
Intake forms
The intake form consists of a series of questions and logic where you, the author, can decide how the client is to proceed after answering a question.
An intake form belongs to one region. If the intake form is published, the client can select the region.
Exercise programs
Once the intake form has been completed, the client will see a list of exercise programs that they can preview and assign to themselves.
Practice directory
The client also has the possibility to book an appointment with one of your practices directly from your branded app.
Intake forms
To add an intake form:
- Go to Automated Intake > Intake forms
Click on "+ Add intake form" for the relevant region
Again: a region can only be selected by a client if an intake form has been published for this region.
If you like, overwrite the default escalation messages that are shown for the escalation to the directory and the escalation to emergency.
Escalation
Before the client started the auto-intake, they already confirmed that they were not in an emergency situation.
However, depending on your clinical algorithm, you may choose to escalate a certain answer (e.g. pain rating of 10) to a certain action.
Physitrack Engage offers 3 escalation actions:
Escalate to directory: this prompts the client to contact your practice to book an appointment to seek further assistance with his complaint.
Escalate to emergency: this prompts the client to seek medical attention.
Escalate to exercise programs: if you want the client to skip ahead to the exercise programs.
It is at your clinical discretion to decide if and how to escalate client answers.
- Click Save changes when done. You can always change the settings for this intake form later.
Click + Add question to add your first question. You can choose from either Range or Multiple choice questions
You can optionally require a client to register after completing the questions.
The benefit of this is that the client will automatically be added to your PT Direct account, showing the completed questionnaire as well as the self-assigned program to all practitioners with whom you are sharing clients from your PT Direct account.
Exercise programs
To start, you will need to designate authors of exercise programs.
- Click the Authors tab, and then Add author.
- Choose the Physitrack account of the author.
- The account needs to be included in your PT Direct license.
Add a photo and enter a biography.
For best results, choose a square photo. It's important to write a concise and clear biography, as this will be shown above the exercise programs that are available to the patient.
Once you've added an author, the next step is to select the programs that you want to be visible inside Physitrack Engage. You can choose from any custom template that an author has created.
- Click the Programs tab, and then Add program.
- Select the program that you want to add.
- Fill in the form and hit Save changes.
Practice directory
Physitrack Engage offers an unprecedented marketing opportunity for your clinic.
To add your practice(s):
- Go to Automated Intake > Practice directory and click Add practice
Fill in the form.
Note: for the booking form, enter an URL to an iframe-friendly (responsive HTML) version of your booking form.
- Hit Save changes
0 question workflow - A&E workflow
This option is useful for triage situations in a busy emergency room.
If you would like to provide your patients with home rehabilitation after an accident and emergency assessment, or perhaps after an occupational health assessment, the 0 question workflow allows you to automatically provide easy accessible exercise programs to your patients, taking away the need for you to source and coach your patients during precious clinical time.
